My Approach
My approach is relational and integrates psychodynamic, somatic, and postmodern therapies. Meaning that in our collaboration, we will work together relationally, in the “here and now,” and view the mutual, authentic, two-way relationship between therapist and client as an agent of healing and transformation. We can (always with your consent) practice slowing down and turning inward, carefully regulating your nervous system, and safely exploring your mind-body connection with curiosity to help you understand how you organize around core beliefs and deepen your embodied connection with yourself. Through a postmodern and LGBTQ+ affirmative lens, together, we can explore, deconstruct, and reauthor new narratives that celebrate your unique strengths, align with your values, and dismantle oppressions/normativity that may impact you. Where we go in your therapeutic journey centers around your values and individuality, honoring the diversity of all your intersectional identities. I aim to co-create an attuned, safe, and collaborative relationship infused with warmth, curiosity, presence, awareness, and attention.
